You can backup open files using the Open file Backup feature available with Creative Answers Online Backup Service.  This feature is available only for Windows XP, Windows 2003 servers and Windows Vista.

The common open files that are backed up using the 'Open file Backup' feature are Outlook files (.pst), QuickBooks, Quicken, ACT, MS-Money, MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS FoxPro etc.

To enable this feature please follow these instructions:

1. Goto Tools > Preferences
2. Select the 'Enable Open file Backup (available only for Windows XP, Windows 2003 and Windows Vista)' option

The selected temporary location on the computer for Open file Backup must have sufficient free space to hold the open files during backup.

Note: The Open file Backup feature does not support backup of open files in the mapped/network drives.
