Are scheduled backups required when the Continuous Data Protection is enabled?

The Continuous Data Protection feature will backup files less than 50 MB in almost real-time (every 10 minutes). However, it is not a replacement for the Schedule Backup operation - which backs up all the files in your Backup set.
