Synchronisation tab not showing in Outlook 2007
| Desktops running Microsoft Vista and Outlook 2007 sometimes do not display the synchronisation tab when the Smartermail sync software is loaded. Please follow these steps to correct the issue:
- Make sure that Outlook.exe process is not running on your PC
- Use the Task Manager to make sure that Outlook.exe is not running
- If the Outlook.exe is running you can restart the PC and not start Outlook or if you are an experienced PC user you can stop Outlook.exe using other approaches
- Uninstall and Reinstall SmarterMail Sync
- Start Outlook, if the Synchronisation tab still does not appear, do the following:
- In Outlook go to Tools and TrustCenter
- Select Addins
- Uncheck Apply Macro Security settings to install Add-Ins
- Click OK
- If you are still having a problem, you need to verify that the Windows Vista User Account Control feature is enabled. You can verify this at:
- In Windows Vista go to the Start menu
- Click the Control Panel
- User Accounts
- Make sure that the UAC control is On. Click Turn User Account Control (UAC) on to enable it
- Once it is enabled, then you will need uninstall and reinstall, SmarterMail Sync.
