Sharing Microsoft Outlook free busy information through a Contact(vcf) card
| Microsoft Outlook allows you to share your free busy information through your Contact card (vcf file) with others so they can view your availabilty when scheduling for meetings. This feature works with Creative Answers free busy server provided with all hosted domains.
The sharing of free busy information is available for domains setup with unsecured free busy information.
To setup the sharing of your calnedar with others, please follow these instructions.
- Start Microsoft Outlook
- Open Contacts
- Select and open your Contact card
- Switch to Details using the buttons at the top
- In the field Internet Free-Busy Address insert http://fb.creativeanswers.com.au/yourdomain/youremailname.vfb. For example, if you email was bob.smith@xyz.com.au then you would add http://fb.creativeanswers.com.au/xyz.com.au/bob.smith.vfb
Now when you share you contact card with others they can see you free busy information for your Calendar.
Please note: if you do not wish to share you Contact card as it may contain additional information, you can provide the information in point 5 above and have them edit the Contact Card they have for you.
