How setup your iPhone using IMAP or POP
| This article shows you how to configure your iPhone or iPhone 3G (with Firmware 2.0.x) to use an IMAP or POP3 connection to read and synchronise email.
Please follow the instructions below:
- On the iPhone, click the Settings button
- Click Mail, Contacts, Calendars button
- Click the Add Account button
- Click Other
- Fill out the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description Fields
- Click Save
- Make sure IMAP is selected if you want IMAP or POP if you want POP
- Enter the Incoming Mail Server information bizmail.creativeanswers.com.au
- Enter your Username which is your full email address
- Enter your Password
- Enter your Outgoing Mail Server information bizmail.creativeanswers.com.au
- Enter your Username which is your full email address
- Enter your Password
- Select SMTP
- Select your SMTP server for Creative Answers
- Select the Server Port and set it to 465
- To Save just step backwards using the top left menu
- The iPhone will attempt to establish an SSL connection to your IMAP or POP and SMTP servers. This will take the iPhone sometime to complete.
- You will get a prompt saying "Secure Connection Failed", press Continue
