This article discusses the use of the Remove Formating button in the tool bar of the FCKeditor.

Your html/text can end up with multiple formating codes and become difficult to edit.  The formating codes can all be removed by simply selecting the html/text and pressing the Remove Formating button in the tool bar.  This button is to the left of Bold button.
